Forrester found that Instagram users were 50 times more likely to like, comment, or share a brand’s post than Facebook users, and 120 times more likely than Twitter users.

Forrester attributes this to less marketing competition on Instagram, the Facebook newsfeed algorithm that reduces the number of brand posts that reach consumers, and the high volume of tweets on Twitter. Forrester also concluded that younger users interact more with brands on social media: the average age of Instagram users is 27, compared to Facebook’s 40.
